King Charles Encounters Heckling Over His Brother's Epstein Connections

During a engagement to a cathedral in Staffordshire on Monday, the King was confronted by a man who questioned him about Prince Andrew's links with disgraced financier Epstein.

The individual demanded to know how long the monarch had been aware about his brother's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had instructed the police to "conceal" for Andrew.

Amid the heckling, there were throngs of supporters and applause for the monarch, who was in Staffordshire for an ceremony.

The Duke of York's associations with Epstein have been under renewed focus in recent weeks. The royal, who relinquished his royal duties earlier this month, has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

"How long have you known about Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Have you asked the police to conceal for him?"

The monarch remained silent but carried on meeting supporters, some of whom shouted "God Save The King". One fan can be overheard asking him for a hug.

Another woman outside the venue was also observed telling the protester to "leave" and to "shut up".

Scandal Reignited by Memoir

The scandal over the Duke of York's links to Epstein has been reignited by sexual abuse claims repeated in Ms. Giuffre's posthumously-published book.

In the publication, Ms Giuffre says she had sexual encounters with the royal on three separate occasions, including one instance with Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Andrew, who reached a out-of-court agreement with the plaintiff in 2022, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In a previous interview, he told a news program he did not recall meeting Ms Giuffre "ever", and that they "never had any sort of sexual contact."

Fresh Questions Over Finances and Living Arrangements

But recently, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to fund his lifestyle despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The revelation that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Windsor mansion has heightened the scrutiny over his housing situation - even though he made significant contributions initially, including for renovations.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be summoned before MPs to give evidence about his lease of his lodge.

But last week, the government declined to give parliamentarians time to debate the royal's titles or his residence, despite increasing calls for investigation.

The royal household has not issued a statement on whether Prince Andrew might relocate of his home - or where he might reside.
