Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his initial title for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-time mentor Cervara.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden title after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface from that period of 2023.
Success also signifies the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my children at once, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, including in Halle in the past months.
The player's counter-punching approach and recurring reactions on the tennis court had caused commentators to question if his skill to play at the top level was finished.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to advance forward and compete assertively, reinforced by an better serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before Moutet, striving for his initial professional victory, took control to push for a decider.
The opponent defended four early break points in a tight final set before the Russian won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
